They said that it is going to be exclusive this year because the soccer games come out this holiday and exclusive for 12 months so when they come out this year it will be exclusive to the 360, next gen version of course. Personally despite all that I do think that Gears of War justifies buying a 360 over a ps3 but to say it means the 360 is "better" because of 1 game I agree is a bit much. However I think that had Gears been a ps3 exclusive titles every sony fanboy on the planet would be trying to say it is the best thing since slice bread.
"360 2nd gen games were in development for the same amount of time as PS3's 1st gen titles. PS3's games look only slightly better because it is more capable than the 360 ( by how much is debatable but to me it's irrelevant). IMO they don't look $200 better than the 360 games YET so that's why I'm holding off on buying one. I'm not going to use half of the features on the PS3 anyway so in my mind I'm paying WAY too much for what I'm going to use it for - which is play games! All the other...

well thats your friends and thats their opinion. I personally dont know anyone that knows about blu-ray, no one that has even heard of resistance, heavenly sword, or warhawk for that matter. However I think that Gears of war is going to be THE must have title of 2006 and when I showed my friends the gameplay that was shown from E32006 their jaws dropped.
